ProSkills working with wood industry - 15 July 2010
ProSkills, the Sector Skills Council for the process and manufacturing sector, held its third Wood Industry Board Meeting on Tuesday 13 July to discuss the work being undertaken to develop qualifications that can be used by employees, potential employees and employers to help increase productivity, knowledge and skills in wood industry businesses.
Proskills have already established a Qualifications Reform Group in England and are seeking members for a Scottish Qualifications Reform Group to take forward this important work in Scotland. Anyone interested in finding out more should contact Linda McCourt, Proskills Regional Manager for Scotland.
A presentation was also given on the ProSkills Academy, which, whilst an English initiative, gives access to a wide range of information which may be of interest to wood industry businesses across Scotland.
